Gerhart Chamber Music Festival - First full week in June. Guntersville. The premier chamber music festival in the State of Alabama. The week long festival features superb musicians from across the nation performing in Guntersville, Albertville, and Birmingham.

Eagle Awareness Program - Month of January. Lake Guntersville State Park. Supervised programs to observe the mighty Bald Eagles in their natural nesting grounds near Lake Guntersville State Park. More than 30 eagles have been restored to the area through state hacking program begun in 1987. Social activities, meals, and field trips to roosting areas.

Boaz Harvest Festival - First weekend in October. Boaz. A two day arts and crafts show, with more than 200 booths comprising various hand made items. Live entertainment, games and contests, antique car show and beauty pageant.

Community Fair - Annual Fall festival held in Arab. Arts, Crafts, entertainment, games and contests, and antique car show

Freedom Festival - 4th of July festival held annually in Albertville. Large fireworks display, arts and crafts, food and entertainment.

Big Spring Jam - Fourth weekend in September. Huntsville. The Big Spring Jam is one of Alabama's largest annual music festivals. Half a dozen stages surrounding the Big Spring International Park in downtown Huntsville showcase more than 80 acts, including top names in various music genres.

Lake Guntersville State Park - Off Highway 227. 6,000 acre park with resort facility offering lodge accommodations, cottages, chalets, and campground; swimming, boating, fishing, golf, tennis, a picnic area, a nature center, and hiking trails.

Buck's Pocket State Park - Off Highway 227. 2,000 acre park with 800 foot point rock, stunning vistas, trails, camping, kayaking.

Cathedral Caverns State Park (Open Mid-1998) - County Road 5, Grant. 160 acre cave with 100 foot ceilings, worlds largest stalagmite, and 80 by 120 foot mouth.

Boaz Outlet Shopping - Highway 168, Boaz. Shop to your heart's content and reap big savings in 140 outlet stores in Boaz. It's a shoppers paradise.

Ryder's Replica Fighter Museum - Highway 431, Guntersville. Focuses on aircraft from 1916-1918. Collection includes meticulous examples of the most significant fighter aircraft.

Noccalula Falls Park and Campground - Off I-59, Gadsden. The falls cascade over 90 feet into a beautiful ravine. A great Indian chief pledged his daughter to the chief of a neighboring tribe. She leapt to her death rather than marry against her wishes. Today the breathtaking area is a park with trails, gardens, artifacts, picnic areas, and a 130 site campground.

DeSoto State Park / DeSoto Falls /Little River Canyon - Off Highway 35, Fort Payne. Natural wonderland will take your breath away with its mountain vistas, 100 foot waterfall, and Little River Canyon. Drive along Lookout Mountain Parkway for incredible scenery. The park offers lodge accommodations, cabins, chalets, camping, hiking, and swimming.

Cloudmont Resort and Shady Grove Ranch - Lookout Mountain Parkway, Mentone. This is Alabama's only winter ski resort.
