PARKS

Lake Guntersville State Park

Located off of Alabama Highway 227, Lake Guntersville Park spans across 6,000 acres and has a resort facility offering lodge accommodations, cottages, chalets, and a campground. The park has a picnic area, nature center, and hiking trails and available activities include swimming, boating, fishing, golf, and tennis.

Cathedral Caverns

Located near Grant, Alabama, Cathedral Caverns holds six world records, including the widest entry of any commercial cave. Cathedral Caverns has a Big Room measuring 792 feet long and 200 feet wide, and has the largest cave stalagmite forest and frozen waterfall in the world. The cave is a state park and is accessible through guided tours.

Buck's Pocket State Park

Buck’s Pocket State Park is located in Grove Park, Alabama, is a 2,000 acre park with 800 foot point rocks, stunning vistas, trails, camping, and kayaking.
