In Marshall County, there is a large focus on career/technical prep programs that help prepare students for future careers in technical programs or post-secondary studies. The county and city school systems consistently rank above the state average for the percentage of students participating in career/tech courses, and have a higher than state average for the percentage of students who are either employed or attend college after completed a career/tech program.

Higher Education

Marshall County’s centralized location in Northeast Alabama places the county within 100 miles of many of Alabama’s top universities and colleges. Additionally, Snead State Community College is located within Marshall County.
