Workforce Training


All of the county and city schools in Marshall County participate in Alabama’s Career Tech Prep program. This program gives high school students who are not in special education or bound for four-year colleges the opportunity to earn college credits and learn skills for a technical career. The Tech Program is a partnership between the high schools and local colleges.

Alabama Industrial Development Training (AIDT)
The AIDT program provides a variety of workforce training and labor force programs for industries located within the state. For new and expanding industries, AIDT provides workforce recruitment, screening, and training assistance. AIDT is one of the top-ranked industrial development training programs in the United States.

North Alabama Skills Center (NASC)
The NASC is available for those companies interested in hiring employees using the Job Training Partnership Act. Companies participating in the program benefit from savings on workforce recruitment costs.

Marshall County Technical School
The Marshall County Technical School provides skills training in technical careers for high school students.

Tech Prep

Snead State Community College

The Bevill Center
Advanced Manufacturing Technology
Located on the campus of Gadsden State Community College in nearby Gadsden, Alabama, the Bevill Manufacturing Technology Center is part of the Alabama Technology Network.
