Matt Arnold, President / CEO 
Matt Arnold is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Montevallo in accounting. After completing his Masters of Business Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, he and his wife, Anjanette, moved to Centreville, Alabama where he was employed as the executive director of the Bibb County Chamber of Commerce and economic development coordinator for the County Commission.
In January 2000, after spending four years in Bibb County coordinating economic development activities, Matt moved to Guntersville to begin working with the Marshall County Economic Development Council. He served for a year and a half as vice president and was named president and CEO in August 2001.
He is a member of the Economic Development Association of Alabama, a past Board member of the Chamber of Commerce Association of Alabama and has taught numerous courses at the Auburn Intensive Economic Development Training Institute.
His community involvement includes past-president and Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club of Guntersville, United Way, the Whole Backstage Community Theatre, the American Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America and the First United Methodist Church of Guntersville. He is a past board member and 2002 graduate of the Marshall County Leadership Challenge and a member of Leadership Alabama (Class XVII).
His wife, Anjanette, is an elementary school guidance counselor and they have two young daughters, Madeline and Chloe and a son, Miller.

Ben Hulgan, Vice President 
A native of Marshall County, Ben holds a BS Degree in Commerce and Business Administration from The University of Alabama and a Masters in Business Administration from Jacksonville State University.
Following undergraduate school Ben served five years as a pilot in the USAF, then returned to Alabama to pursue a career and earn the MBA Degree. Ben’s career includes supervision, operations management and human resources management in small to medium size manufacturing organizations in Guntersville, Huntsville, Birmingham and Scottsboro.
Ben joined the Marshall County Economic Development Council in October 2008 and currently functions as Vice President with primary responsibility for supporting existing business and industry within the county. Ben serves as Executive Director of the Marshall County Manufacturers Association.
Nancy Decker, Office Manager 
Nancy Decker is a native of Florida. She moved to Marshall County in 1966 and graduated from Marshall County High School in 1970. She attended Snead State Community College from 1970-1972 majoring in accounting. With almost forty years experience in accounting/bookkeeping, she started to work for Marshall County Economic Development Council in June 2006 as the Office Manager.
I married Ronnie Decker in 1971 and I have one son Justin Decker. My husband works for DRS Technologies in Huntsville. Justin will be starting his second year at Snead State Junior College in the Fall. He hopes to go on and become a History Teacher in College.
